I want to welcome you to a new concept in providing protective training and our new web presence.
After spending over thirty years in the industry, both in the private and government sectors, I decided we need a better way to share the knowledge of many vs. the viewpoint of few.
We all come to wherever we are from different backgrounds and experiences, and the same is true for instructors who share their knowledge. If you are like me, you find that we all are continually learning. Have you ever performed in a role for several years and thought to yourself, “I’ve got this!”? Then, you meet someone who does the same job as you, and you realize there is a more proficient approach than the one you have known.
That’s it, that is what we provide you through Synergistic Protection Training – some of the most proficient people in their areas of practice. As it goes, “many are stronger than one.” As we move ahead, our course offerings will grow as we add more instructors and grow the Synergy.
Many of our courses will provide a blended learning experience. Select classes will bring all students to the same level of knowledge before participating in the practical portion of the training. When the individual student reaches the needed understanding, the individual student may join in live practical training at one of our facilities—bringing me to another point of our courses, training to a standard.
Training to a Standard
Have you ever arrived at a training course to discover you are sitting at the same table with people far above and some below your ability and knowledge level? Although some will attempt to argue the merits of the mixed-bag classroom, here is why this happens – misaligned principal goals of the organization with the needs of the individual student.
My philosophy is you need a standard of achievement in both knowledge and practical performance. We train to a regulated standard or to our precept that lines itself to best practices for each discipline. So how does this look in reality? Each student will prove proficiency in knowledge through written examination. Dependent upon the course, we present you with individual topic quizzes and course examinations.
Mastering at Your Own Pace On the Path Created
Where any given course requirements are not regulated, i.e., licensing requirement for any given state, we want you to control the throttle of your development.
Our instructors create a pathway to guide the training that requires you to meet specific parameters for each course – how fast you drive yourself is up to you. If you are participating in one of our developed courses, we provide knowledge-based training modules that will bring you to the required standard. If you are knowledgable in the subject matter, you may “test out” of the particular subject. Testing out of a module does require a higher examination grade.
We do not allow testing out of practical skill requirements as the instructional staff witnesses achievement of these standards.
So Who Do We Train?
We provide training to private sector individuals and practitioners following a career path in security or investigations.
Through our instructors’ capabilities, we offer courses to government organizations in the areas of security and law enforcement.
