The 8 Hour Unarmed In-service Training Course for Security Guards is a required New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services refresher course.

This course is required annually to maintain licensing within New York State

Although course topics may replicate those experienced during the 8-hour Pre-assignment training, these topics have been expanded and meet the minimum requirements provided by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.
